An inventory report accurately describes the condition of properties owned by someone/some corporations. This report can be used to check inventory, assess damage claims, and assist legal documentation. To eliminate doubts, inventory reports should be as detailed as possible and include photos or videos.

Although inventory reports are usually made by property owners, you can always create your own inventory as a tenant. On the other hand, as the landlord, you ought to record your properties during each rental period. At least you must make two inventory reports; the before and after the tenant moves in. These reports are very important for both landlords and tenants because they can be used to legally compare property quality in the future.

The task of making an inventory report is usually borne by the landlord because that is his property. However, besides tenants, inventory can also be carried out by other people such as licensing agents, professional inventory companies, or even tenants. Both parties, owner and tenant, must sign the inventory reports so that their legitimacy is not questioned in formal disputes. As a tenant, you are advised to attend the inventory and participate actively. Don’t sign anything before the inventory list really reflects the real situation.
